Last month a group of amazing creatives got in their cars on a Friday in July to roadtrip from near & far to Yucca Valley to spend their weekend #unplugged from the chaos of social media, our phones, maybe even our lives- to come together and recenter our energies towards positive intentions that will help us grow as people and flourish in our creative endeavors.
The moment we entered this space we knew we were surrounded by good energy! Each detail was carefully placed to create a calm and creative atmosphere! We’re always on the hunt for the perfect Unplugged spaces and so far, we’ve been very lucky!
The first morning was a bit of a slow start, which is always okay at these retreats. And it’s kinda the point, we’re all taking a weekend to just slow down for a minute and this was the perfect place to do it!
After tea & coffee, Aryana led an incredible and easy-to-follow Yoga flow. Almost everyone participated and it was so special to see people break out of their comfort zones to find their zen!
After Yoga, we ate breakfast and all gathered around for the Creatives 101 course and newest addition, Publication 101! Alex was available after the class to answer any questions, and to game plan with anyone who needed it!
The rest of the day we were free to work, explore and adventure or create!
Andddd… Alex prepared dinner (burrito bowls, an unplugged favorite) for the fam while the kids played outside lol
Once everyone settled down and relaxed, we gathered around for an intention setting meditation ceremony led by Aryana.
After the ceremony, Alex and Aryana held card readings for those who needed a bit more clarity or a little spiritual guidance.
After a long day of amazing self improvement we headed to bed, ready to take on our last morning here.
Sunday morning was bittersweet. We packed up our bags, sat down for one last intention setting meditation to send everyone off with a clear mind and open heart and headed to a local coffee shop before we went our separate ways.
These weekends are so much more than a quick vacation to the desert, or a beautiful photoshoot destination. They’re opportunities for growth, they’re a chance to breathe out the chaos and pressure of everyday, unwind, and to connect and learn with creatives from all walks of life! We take something special home with us after every Unplugged and we hope you do too!
