Tell me about yourself?

I was born in the famous Sandpit known as Dubai. I will always cherish growing up there because the city gave me a wonderful perspective of customs and cultures from all over the world. I learned to appreciate tradition and diversity and love it when I can talk to people about their heritage too. Being a global citizen is important to me!

My birthday is April 30 and from the smattering of horoscopes I’ve read, I am indeed a typical Taurus. I share a birthday with Gal Gadot, so I hope that I can embody the traits of being a Wonder Woman too!

When I was fifteen I became a certified pastry chef! I used to be super passionate about it so I’m now on the lookout for people and friends who’d like to indulge me because I’d love to get back to creating things that not only look good, but taste good too. So if you’re not afraid to stuff your foodie face, you know whom to come to.

I also really love general knowledge- so I’ve always got a weird fact or history on the most obscure topics. I absolutely geek out on documentaries and Planet Earth. Witnessing things that are bigger than me is so humbling and I my ultimate ambition in life is to be a UN Ambassador.

How'd you start modeling?

I’ve always been a fan of breaking molds and 2018 has been all about me getting out of my comfort zone. I am primarily an actress and modeling has allowed me to get confident with being in front of cameras minus the major stresses that come with filming.

And before TGS, I was afraid of the model stigma, but now I wear it with pride. It’s given me confidence and I find it liberating to claim the title. I hope more people who look like me or find some likeness in me feel motivated to go out and do the same because if I can do it, why not them?

I also have a whole newfound respect for the art because it isn’t easy managing every minute muscle for hours on end to get the perfect click. I find the vulnerability empowering. Kudos to models and photographers breaking molds!

How did you find out about Tgs?

TGS had been gaining traction on my feed for a couple of months before I learned I too could be a part of it. That’s why I love social media, if you allow it to become an asset rather than a hindrance to your goals- amazing opportunities can come out of the diverse platform.

Why’d you join?

I hate unnecessary labels and TGS has such an even playing field that I never worry about being perceived as anything I don’t want to. There’s no prefix to my title as a model or creative and that ingenious style of management in the collective is the kind I fully support.

And going back to what I said about being an actress, I’ve been offered such a freeing playground to learn from likeminded people and discover niches I’d never venture into on my own. It’s hard to figure out what works and what doesn’t on your own, so the collective is a great place for me to test out waters and take the plunge only if fully believe in it.

Where do you get your inspiration from?

I challenge anyone to test me on my film trivia, haha. My love for movies has been the most consistent thing all through growing up and into young adulthood. Telling stories and creating worlds for new ones is such an empowering privilege that I respect and would like to crossover into my modeling. I want each picture to become a story in itself because I’ve become aware that even a 2D still image thing can posses plenty of weight when wanting to influence and nurture positive thoughts and actions.

Favorite 'asthetic', theme, or look when shooting?

Experimenting with the most contrasting style every time I shoot has become a sort of game I love playing now. I’m so eager to go in an opposite direction every time and am pleasantly surprised to see the results. I’m an eccentric person so I get excited when styling and picking pieces and moods because I really am just a little kid playing dress up most times.

Do you have other creative friends you like to meet up with / brainstorm with?

My friends are actors, filmmakers and models themselves so it always enriching when we sit and have a mock ‘round table’. We talk on where we’re at in our personal lives and careers and if there’s a way we can help each other grow in that. Building a supportive circle can be tedious but the work is well worth it. Personally I’ve found a wonderful couple of friends that I’m able to express highs and lows and drum up amazing ideas and concepts with.

Most interesting story revolving around modeling?

I’m still relatively new but things have been all round pleasant. Thankfully haven’t had any negative run ins. I have met amazing people along the way- and am learning that it’s possible to vibe with different people right off the bat in this field, even if you wouldn’t in any other situation. Being a creative is the ultimate ice breaker!
